My uncle is the best uncle in the World! We loved visitng with him and spending time in his beautiful home in the desert.

Hiking Bright Angel where it was COLD!
About the first three miles into the Canyon we had snow and had to use ice points or crampons on our shoes. After the three mile point, the snow was gone and the trail was dirt. We went one more mile before we had to turn around and hike back up the 4 miles. It was much harder going back up! The whole trip took from 10 am to about 3:50 pm. We started late because the air temp was -10 at the top, so we waited for it to warm up a bit. By the time we got into the canyon it was about 25 degrees and we were HOT from hiking!
