We got to see our sweet Kira today in a beautiful race in Chicago. The day was beautiful, the race tough, and the course awesome...right by Lake Michigan. 

It was MILLER's TIME!

What a great night we had with our dear friends the Miller! Tyler had a great race, Anna the sweetest girl we know and Bert and Laura we love, and as always Bert and Donna are the best!

So there were five boys, home-made pizza, pop, and cake. The reek of AXE was wafting through the house and still lingers...but Nadar stayed out of the hospital! 

Happy 14th Birthday Trevor

Trevor blew out his candles, but one remained lit up. He blew it out again and we teased him that he had one girl-friend. When he announced "No I do not!" the candle promptly re-lit!

Our baby-girl done gone and grew up!

Wow, what a weekend. We took Kira to college and left her there. Although I feel as if someone cut out a piece of my heart, I am so very excited for her and I KNOW she made the right choice. Kira we LOVE you and we are so proud of you. Take wing and fly, little bird.

Linda Jeanne, born just minutes before the other Linda Jean, and her daughter came to visit us this weekend. It was so great to visit and see how well Linda is doing. 4 more chemo visits and LJ is done!!! What a lady! Bless you two.

We tell Trevor that newly married Amish men are allowed to quit shaving to indicate their marital status. He looks like a newlywed...of about three months. I'm trying to look at the bright side...he's not going to attract many girls this way 

JR. Olympics Update--dateline Baltimore, MD

Trevor Struggles in USATF Nationals, Junior Olympics. Coming in 5th in his heat was not enough on Thursday to qualify for the finals in the 200 Hurdles. Trevor’s report was that it just didn’t happen for him. The rest of the trip seems to be going well, however.

We are so sad to report that our dear friend Josef Gapko passed away last night due to complications from Muscular dystrophy. He remained so busy and so active up until the very end, serving as an admissions counselor just last week at UW Eau Claire. His angelic voice will echo through our hearts.
